This webinar is AAPC Approved for 1 CEU.*

Compliance is an essential part of medical coding. The key to having a successful Compliance and Ethics program is to and know coding and billing rules, and to follow them with integrity. To be an effective coding compliance professional you must stay current with coding and billing regulations and have a solid code of ethics, which are likely to be mandated by state and federal guidelines and also by professional organizations. This webinar will address the code of conduct for a practice and commitment to ethical, accurate coding in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Topics for discussion:

  1. What is legal may not be ethical and vice versa. This session will quickly describe the federal regulations that impact otolaryngology and audiology practices.
  2. Common billing scenarios will be presented describing ethical dilemmas found in otolaryngology associated audiology and independent audiology practices with solutions.

*This program has the prior approval of AAPC for 1 continuing education hour. Granting of prior approval in no way constitutes endorsement by AAPC of the program content or the program sponsor.
