What do you see as the biggest issues facing the AOA today?
The ability to continue to meet our members needs at the pace that the managers have to respond to change in their positions.
If elected, how would you address those issues and challenges?
Continue to seek to make the accessibility of information from AOA as easy as possible for our users. Continue to provide information in the most time sensitive way that we are able to do so. Continue to seek answers about how we can help every practice type.
What do you think are the biggest issues facing the members today?
I hear it over and over - "If I only had more hours in the day!" Trying to find the time to keep up with ever changing regulations and payment models. It is difficult enough to put out the fires in our offices on a daily basis and we have to shift our business to continue to meet the changes.
If elected, how would you address the member issues?
We need to continue to develop and source tools that will bring efficiencies to the practices we represent in the AOA. AOA-U continues to be a great resource that takes something off the plate of the manager. I would like to see the AOA continue to develop those as well as create toolkits for our managers to use to streamline their responsibilities.
With the ever-changing healthcare landscape, where do you see AOA going in the next few years?
We will continue to serve our membership by being the go-to resource for all things ENT. I see our new engagemENT communication platform as a way to make us more accessible as well as creating more networking beyond the conference. I have been representative of a small size practice and will continue to be a voice not only for them, but all size practices.
